Privacy Policy for BCRA registration
Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), SEEDS s.r.l. provides the following information on the processing of personal data collected through the BCRA registration page and related payment services.

2. Categories of data processed
We may process the personal data entered in the registration form, including:
- first name and last name;
- email address and phone number;
- affiliation / organization;
- attendance category and participation-related options;
- proof of student status, if submitted to request or support a student registration rate;
- Tax ID / VAT / fiscal code;
- date of birth;
- residence address, city, region, postal code, country;
- paper title;
- additional notes and dietary information, if voluntarily provided.
During payment, additional billing and transaction data may be collected through Stripe Checkout.

- manage conference registration;
- manage activities related to conference participation;
- verify eligibility for student registration rates, where applicable;
- process payment of registration fees;
- fulfil legal, administrative, accounting, and tax obligations;
- handle support requests related to registration and participation;
- protect the Controller’s rights and prevent misuse or fraud.

- performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures;
- compliance with legal obligations;
- legitimate interest of the Controller in managing the event;
- where necessary, the data subject’s consent.
5. Disclosure of data to Stripe
Some personal data may be transmitted to Stripe for payment purposes and for the management of activities connected with conference participation, to the extent technically associated with the payment flow.

The use of Stripe and other technical providers may involve transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers take place under the safeguards provided by applicable law and the contractual documentation made available by the relevant providers.
7. Retention period
Personal data are retained for the time strictly necessary to manage registration, participation in the conference, and related follow-up activities, as well as for any additional period required by applicable administrative, accounting, or tax laws.
Where proof of student status is provided, it is processed only for verification of the applicable registration rate and retained only for the time necessary to complete that verification and manage any related administrative follow-up, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Data subjects may exercise the rights provided by the GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
