BCRA 2026 - International Conference on Blockchain Research and Applications

Call for Workshop Proposals

International Conference on Blockchain Research and Applications

The International Conference on Blockchain Research and Applications (BCRA 2026) invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference. BCRA serves as a premier international forum for advancing theoretical foundations, system designs, and real-world applications of blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.

Workshops at BCRA 2026 aim to complement the main conference by fostering focused discussions on emerging topics, novel research directions, and interdisciplinary applications at the intersection of blockchain, security, systems, economics, and decentralized applications.

This call is released as early as possible to ensure that organizers of accepted workshops can promptly publish their Calls for Workshop Papers and begin receiving submissions.

Scope and Themes

We welcome workshop proposals that align with the core mission of Blockchain Research and Applications, including but not limited to the following themes:

  • Blockchain architectures, protocols, and consensus mechanisms
  • Smart contracts, formal verification, and programming models
  • Security, privacy, and trust in blockchain systems
  • Decentralized finance (DeFi) and Web3 ecosystems
  • Blockchain scalability, interoperability, and performance optimization
  • Tokenomics, incentive mechanisms, and crypto-economics
  • Blockchain applications in finance, supply chains, healthcare, governance, and IoT
  • Regulation, compliance, and ethical considerations in blockchain systems
  • Integration of blockchain with AI, distributed systems, and cloud/edge computing

Workshops may focus on theoretical advances, applied research, industrial case studies, or cross-disciplinary perspectives.

General Advice

Workshop proposals should address timely and well-defined topics. The BCRA 2026 Organizing Committee particularly encourages proposals that:

  • Bridge foundational blockchain research and practical deployment challenges
  • Highlight emerging or underexplored research problems
  • Foster active discussion and community engagement
  • Involve both academic researchers and industry practitioners where appropriate

Both half-day and full-day workshops are welcome. Innovative and interactive formats -- such as panels, debates, or hands-on sessions -- are strongly encouraged.

Submission Instructions

  • Workshop proposals must be submitted electronically via email at bcra-2026-workshops@seedsbit.com
  • Submissions should be in PDF format and uploaded as a single file
  • Workshop Proposal Submission Deadline: March 27, 2026 (AoE)
  • Late submissions will not be considered
  • All inquiries should be sent to bcra-2026-workshops@seedsbit.com with the subject line: "BCRA 2026 Workshop Proposal Inquiry."
  • Proposals will be evaluated by the Workshop Chairs based on relevance to BCRA, scientific quality, organizational feasibility, and expected community interest.
