The BCRA 2026 seeks original submissions regarding blockchain research and applications that detail novel techniques, introduce advanced methodologies, investigate new applications, and propose promising directions. The topics of interest for the conference include, but are not limited to:
- Blockchain theory & protocols (consensus, interoperability, etc.)
- Blockchain architecture, systems, and tools
- Smart contracts
- Security and privacy of blockchains
- Blockchain governance
- Blockchain applications (DID, DeFi, DePIN, etc.)
- Web3 and digital assets
- Blockchain and AI
- Layer-2 solutions for blockchain
- Transaction analysis
- Oracles and off-chain data
- Cryptographic tools for blockchain
The conference seeks original papers of two types:
Research Papers: These papers report original research on the above topics and will be evaluated based on the significance of the problem, the novelty of the solution, advancement beyond prior work, the sufficiency of supporting evidence, and the clarity of presentation.
Short Papers: These papers adhere to the same standards and evaluation criteria as full research papers, but their content is presented in a more concise format.
Presentation of accepted journal papers
It is mandatory for at least one of the author(s) of accepted papers (both full and short) to register and present their papers at the conference to have the papers published.
Detailed presentation instructions will be sent to the accepted paper authors.
Important Dates
BCRA 2026 will have a single submission deadline, and we will provide the opportunity for revision decisions on some papers that are deemed promising but not yet complete.

Publication
All full papers accepted and presented at the conference will be published in the Journal of Blockchain: Research and Applications (Impact Factor 5.6, CiteScore 16.1).
Blockchain: Research and Applications is an international, peer-reviewed journal for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to present the latest advances and innovations in blockchain research. The journal publishes theoretical and applied papers in established and emerging areas of blockchain research to shape the future of blockchain technology.

All short papers accepted and presented at the conference will be published in Springer Proceedings and indexed by EI Compendex.
Submission Guidelines
All submissions must be in English and in PDF format.
Research papers should be no more than 20 pages in length (including references), while short papers should be no more than 16 pages in length (including references). Submissions that do not comply with the above instructions will be desk-rejected without review.
Please use the Springer proceedings template for both full and short papers during the submission stage.
For the accepted full papers, which will be published in the BCRA journal, we will provide a BCRA journal template in the camera-ready instructions. Please submit your papers via the submission site EasyChair by the deadline.
